‘Ogbonna’ signs with Hornets after leaving Hammers

Veteran Italian defender Angelo Ogbonna has joined Championship side Watford on a free transfer. After his contract with West Ham expired at the end of last season. The 36-year-old centre-back made 17 appearances in all competitions for the Hammers and his contract expired without being extended.

The former Torino product ended a nine-season spell with West Ham. After joining from Juventus in 2015 for £10m, where he made 249 appearances in all competitions and won the Conference League.
