Murphy point out that Thiago–Trent and then lost his mind.
Ex-Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy views his former team as the absence of Thiago Alcantara and Trent Alexander-Arnold. This greatly reduces the efficiency of the team.
Neither of them played in the game at City. Ground in the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Murphy described the Reds’ disappointing performance as a result of the absence of Thiago and Trent are able to break through the dense defensive line of their opponents.
“When you get Thiago and Trent out of the starting XI, none of you have the courage to find and break out a solid defence,” Murphy told Match of the Day.
“Trent played midweek. So maybe he (Klopp) doesn’t want to risk it. But I think there is an argument against strengthening in the midfield.”
“Klopp had no choice but to use youngsters (Harvey Elliott and Turtoise Jones). Unfortunately the striker was also injure.
For Trent, he has shown excellent form since joining the Liverpool senior team in 2016, having made 227 appearances for the Reds, scoring 13 goals and providing 62 assists.
Liverpool are not intereste in releasing Trent. Who has a contract until 2025, and the player does not want to leave Anfield.
