Serie A team Como are reportedly considering a move for Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo. Who had a successful loan spell at Fiorentina last season.
Arthur is unlikely to be part of Thiago Motta’s plans for the 2024-25 season and Gianluca Di Marsico has report that he has been left at home while Juventus head to Germany for their pre-season camp. Where they face Nuremberg in a friendly on Friday.
The 27-year-old is a top earner at the Allianz Stadium, so a move to Como is unlikely to be straightforward.
Como are hoping to negotiate a loan deal. But in reality they will need to get help with Juventus’ wage bill.
Arthur has two more seasons left on his contract with Juventus until the 2026 season.
There is also interest in the Brazilian from Premier League clubs Everton and Leicester.
Como have made a number of signings this summer, ยูฟ่าเบท including former Liverpool players Jose Reina and Alberto Moreno, along with Alberto Dossena, Gabriel Strefessa and Andrea Belotti.
They were also link with 2014 World Cup winner Mats Hummels before turning their attentions to former France defender Raphael Varane.
However, the potential transfer faces significant challenges. Given Arthur’s high wages, Como could only proceed if Juventus agrees to contribute to his salary. The 27-year-old midfielder is also attracting interest from abroad, with Everton and Leicester City reportedly keen on his services.
Meanwhile, Mattia De Sciglio was also left out of Thiago Motta’s squad for the Germany tour. The club is exploring foreign options for the former Milan defender. Who is under contract with Juventus until June 30, 2025.
